Account Deletion Request
In accordance with App Store guidelines, users can request the permanent deletion of their account and prescription history. Requests are processed within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
When You request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and delivery addresses
- Prescription History: All uploaded prescription images and related order history
- Order Records: Transaction history and payment references (note: payment processors may retain their own records as required by law)
- Communication History: Messages exchanged with pharmacies through our platform
- Preferences and Settings: Any saved preferences, favorite pharmacies, or notification settings
What We May Retain
In compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, we may retain certain information even after account deletion:
- Transaction records required for tax and accounting purposes (anonymized where possible)
- Information necessary to comply with legal obligations or court orders
- Data required to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements
Before You Delete
Please consider the following before requesting account deletion:
- This action is irreversible. Once Your account is deleted, we cannot recover Your data.
- Any pending orders should be completed or cancelled before deletion.
- If You have an active subscription, please cancel it first to avoid future charges.
- You will lose access to Your prescription history, which may be useful for future medical consultations.
How to Request Deletion
You can request account deletion through any of the following methods:
Option 1: In-App Request
Open the Prescript app → Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account → Follow the prompts to confirm deletion.
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to support [at] prescript [dot] ng with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include:
- Your registered email address
- Your registered phone number
- Reason for deletion (optional)
Processing Timeline
Account deletion requests are processed as follows:
- Verification: We will verify Your identity within 2-3 business days
- Processing: Once verified, deletion will be completed within 30 days
- Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once Your account has been deleted
